Write to the desk

A plat book is only honest if its corrections are public. If a lot on this sheet has changed: a shop closed, a menu rewritten, a path fenced off; write to the desk and say what the ground looks like now.

What to send

The most useful letter names the lot or the entry, says what has changed, and gives the date you saw it. A photograph of the new state of things settles most questions in one look. We do not need your name to correct a line, but a name and a way to reply make the correction faster.

What we do not take

We do not take paid placements, sponsored entries, or requests to raise one business over its neighbor. A lot earns its entry by being on the ground, not by asking. If you own a business in town and want a fair reading, the fastest route is to keep your door open and your sign legible; we walk the town regularly.

Letters reach the desk through the contact route that brought you here; corrections are entered on the next revision of the sheet, and the revision date changes when they are.
